Grammy Award winning artist Frank Ocean is not resting on his laurels after picking up two of the prestigious awards recently. According to reports, Ocean has already put down 11 tracks for his follow-up album and will soon be working with Danger Mouse.
The ‘Pyramids’ singer said that he was ecstatic about his Grammy wins, saying that he would have screamed if he had won Record of the Year, an award which went to Gotye. Ocean was speaking Zane Lowe on BBC’s Radio 1 on February 19, 2013 when he said, “You have to live. I never could really work well just being in the studio day-after-day every day. I can go in the studio for months straight, but I gotta spend some months out in the world.”
The talented singer-songwriter said that it was possible the new album could take a lead from his previous work. The ‘Lost’ singer said that he would like to get to Bora Bora and work for a few weeks there. Ocean also disclosed some information regarding his writing process, saying that he only writes in short stretches and when inspiration strikes him.
In conclusion the ‘Forrest Gump’ singer gave his fans something to think about, as he plans to tour for a few months in 2013.
