Last year’s VMAs were hosted by Miley Cyrus, one year after her debacle of a performance with Robin Thicke with the finger foam and twerking. The 2015 MTV VMA Show was speckled with controversy, including Miley’s nipple slip, Nicki Minaj’s callout of her (ref: “Miley, what’s good?!”) and a show that did not have many moments to remember for good.

Hopefully, this year will see better stuff happening. Of course, Taylor Swift has totally been ignored, along with her fellow squad member, Selena Gomez. Wonder of wonders is how Kanye managed to get his insipid “artistic” Famous video in the category of “Video of the Year”, when all it had were wax figures of a number of celebrities, mostly women, without their consent and seemed to mock a number of them, including his ex flame, Amber Rose and Taylor Swift, with whom he’s had public spats with.
