Lynrd.com: American singer and song writer Adam Lambert has always expressed his fondness of Freddie Mercury, the great theatrical lead singer of the classic rock band ‘Queen’. After certain speculations, the singer has confirmed that he will be actually touring with the original members of Queen – Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor.
The singer and the band members will be touring together for a string of dates in England, where the band played their final show with Mercury in the year 1986, which is five years before he died. Adam said that the intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some of the great songs.
The American Idol runner-up also said that it was to keep the music alive for the fans and give it the energy that Freddie would have been proud of. Lambert is also all set to release his second solo album ‘Trespassing’ on March 20, 2012.
Lambert released the first single of the album ‘Better than In Know Myself’ in late December last year. It was the performance of Adam with May and Taylor in the month of November last year which led to the speculations that he might join them soon. With the upcoming dates, Adam is all set to pay tribute to Mercury.
