Reports have claimed that British singer Adele and American pop star Beyonce have been roped in to perform at the 50th birthday party of America’s First Lady Michelle Obama. The celebrations will take place at the White House.
Mrs Obama will be turning 50 on January 17, 2014 and the preparations are already underway for a major party in Washington D.C. Apart from Adele and Beyonce, the star studded bash will also feature performances by other high profile artists. Sources have revealed that the First Lady will he holding a huge party, which will be attended by several celebrities next year at the White House. Reports said that Michelle is very fond of both singers and has invited them to sing as a result.
Adele was excited at the prospect of singing for the event and has also waived her usual fee for the performance, according to reports. Beyonce will be singing some of her well-known songs for the First lady and her friends as well. The party will be the second event at the White House which has been attended by Adele and Michelle, within the span of a year. During the Academy Awards, the British singer took to the stage to sing ‘Skyfall’ and has had a good start to the year so far.
