After the unconfirmed reports that British singer Adele will be performing at the upcoming 54th Annual Grammy Awards, it has been made official by the ‘Smile’ singer herself. The singer has been resting for months after she went through a throat surgery and is set to make a comeback.

The 23-year-old tweeted “Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can’t wait, speak soon xx.”. Adele also issued a statement in which she expressed that she is immensely proud of being a part of music’s biggest night.

The British songstress will be performing on February 12, 2012, after taking rest for about three months. Adele even expressed that she is very excited and is also very nervous, but a good way to get it all back.

Last year, the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer was forced to cancel all her US tour dates in the month of November after which she had to go through a microsurgery to treat a benign polyp on her vocal chords, which caused recurrent bleeding. Apart from Adele, the other major acts will be performed by Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, nicky Minaj and Taylor Swift.

After the Grammys, the singer is also expected to perform at the BRIT Awards in London on February 21.'
