Canadian singer and songwriter Avril Lavigne – who recently joined Instagram – has revealed cover art for her upcoming, self-titled album. The first picture of the artwork was posted on August 8, 2013, on her new account on the photo sharing site.
Along with the photo, Avril wrote, “Thanks to all my fans for the amazing support! Here’s an exclusive look at the cover of my new, self-titled album!” The image is simple enough, with a closeup of the singer’s face, which is highlighted on a black background.
The photo shows the ‘I’m With You’ singer with slicked-back hair and raccon-esque style of eye make-up. The ‘What The Hell’ singer looks like a high fashion model on the cover. When it comes to the new record, the star already revealed two singles, ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’ and ‘Rock N Roll’.
The upcoming album is all set to be released on September 24, 2013 and this will be the singer’s fifth album, as well as the first for Epic Records. Lavigne’s first album was ‘Let Go’, which was released in 2002, when she signed on for two albums. The album reached No. 2 in the US on the Billboard 200 chart.
