Beyoncé and Jay-Z have finally welcomed new additions to the Carter family. The famous couple have apparently named their twins – a girl and a boy – Sir and Rumi Carter! The happy couple are yet to come out with a statement, but it is said that they have already approached the United States Patent and Trademark Office to officiate the names for commercial purposes.
Speculation was rife that Beyoncé was in labour after Jay-Z and Blue Ivy Carter were spotted outside a local Los Angeles Hospital. A guest was also photographed holding a pink and blue balloon that gave out the gender of the twins. Beyoncé’s parents also shared the news through Instagram on Father’s Day, though not directly.
In the past, Beyoncé faced difficulty getting pregnant. In an emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey, the pop star spoke about her miscarriages before successfully conceiving and giving birth to daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. The pregnancy announcement was made by the star a few months ago after an artistic maternity shoot that earned her the maximum number of likes in the history of Instagram. She regularly posted images of her proud growing belly.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z were said to have gone through a rough patch in their marriage after allegations of his infidelity emerged. Beyoncé’s sister and fellow singer Solange, was filmed attacking Jay-Z in an elevator, and then Bey dropped her stellar album, Lemonade that addressed infidelity. Almost in response, June 30th saw the release of Jay-Z’s 13th studio album, 4:44 in which he brazenly talks about cheating and his change of heart after the birth of his children.
An official statement as well as appearance is yet to be made by the couple, though a number of sources have confirmed the happy news. The Carters are currently staying at a lavish condo to be with their children.
