Lynrd.com: The 2012 London Olympics will surely receive a grand closing ceremony with British rock band Blur performing in a concert. The rock band will perform at closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in a major concert at Hyde Park.
The other groups which will also be performing on the concert include New Order and The Specials with more names expected to be added to the line up. The news was confirmed on February 20, 2012 with a poster that is based loosely around the artwork.
On Monday, it was reported that Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn played a new song during the weekend that was a part of their War Child charity concert. The performance featured a stripped down piano as well as acoustic guitar named ‘Under The Westway’.
With the latest announcement, it has clearly indicated that the band is now surely going to have a busy year since their first com back in the year 2009. Again in the year 2010, they released a single in April but then again went silent. Putting together the older acts which the band had earlier abandoned or forgotten might not be a good representation of the British music for the year 2012. But some of the popular ones like Cast and Pulp can never be forgotten.
