American pop icon Britney Spears is back on the music scene with a new song. One month after it leaked online, the star’s latest single, upbeat and catchy tune ‘Ooh La La’, was officially released on Monday, June 17, 2013, on a radio show hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
The new song is Britney’s contribution to ‘The Smurfs 2’ soundtrack and will be heard playing over the end credits when the movie premieres on July 31, 2013. The ‘Toxic’ singer announced the track in April of this year, calling it ‘Smurftastic’ and the beat and lyrics really are sugary-sweet.
While appearing on the popular ‘On Air With Ryan Seacrest’ show, the superstar explained that the song is about feeling good. ‘Ooh La La’ is another collaboration between Spears and her producers, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, Ammo and Cirkut, who worked with the ‘Break The Ice’ singer on ‘Femme Fatale’.
The star also talked about her upcoming, eighth studio album, confirming that she will team up with Will.i.am again and that everything is in the beginning stages for now. Spears said, “I want to definitely take this album and have a new approach with it and make it a little different than anything I’ve ever done.”
The ‘Circus’ singer revealed that she has a new collaborator this time, famous producer William Orbit who worked with Madonna and that they start working together next week. The star promised her fans that they will be able to hear new music by the end of 2013.
