American country singer Carrie Underwood on December 5, 2011 won three trophies at the American Country Awards. On the other hand Jason Aldean was the singer to collect the maximum number of trophies with six honors which include the Artist of the Year.
Underwood claimed the Female Artist Of The Year, Music Video and Single Of The Year by a Female Artist For ‘Mama’s Song’. Aldean was the artist with maximum nominations with the Zac Brown Band.
‘My Kinda Party’ by the singer took away Album Of The Year, Single Of The Year by Male Artist and Touring Artist Of The Year. Aldean also claimed Single and Music Video Of The Year for ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’.
The event was hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins. Apart from the former American Idol winner and Clarkson, the Fender Stratocaster guitar shaped trophy was also claimed by Scotty McCreery, who was named the New Artist of the Year, on the same day when his album ‘Clear As Day’ went Gold. Chris Young too won the Single Of The Year for ‘Voices’. Lady Antebellum were named Group Of The Year at the event. Unfortunately, Taylor Swift despite six nominations could not claim a single trophy at the event.
