The Chainsmokers Release Single ‘Paris’ With Alexis Ren – Lyric Video

American DJ duo, The Chainsmokers just dropped the lyric video for their new single, Paris.

The song is a nostalgic take on young love. The lyric video is basic and features words to the song, as well as bikini-clad hottie, Alexis Ren getting naughty on a beach (though fans have pointed out that there really aren’t any beaches in Paris!). The tune to the track is eerily similar to Closer and critics are saying that it’s turning out to be what regular The Chainsmokers songs are going to start sounding like. Also, as compared to their hit singles from the previous year, this one will also be a hit, though not as epic as the last two.

The chorus to the song is catchy, with words like –

If we go down then

We go down together

They’ll say you could do anything

They’ll say that I was clever

If we go down then

We go down together

We’ll get away with everything

Let’s show them we are better

You can actually hear millennial kids just singing along to the song at a concert by The Chainsmokers.

After a banging 2016, releasing two hits – Don’t Let Me Down and Closer, they will be very visible during music awards shows this year, having been nominated in big categories for the iHeartRadio Music Awards as well as the Grammy Awards. The first single, collaborated with Daya hit the top of the charts, and the latter in collaboration with pop rebel Halsey broke all records where it stayed on top of the charts for several weeks, with no close contender in sight.

This isn’t the first time that The Chainsmokers have dominated the pop charts. Back in 2014, their debut single #Selfie reached Number 1, though it wasn’t even close to what Closer has achieved. The Chainsmokers, consisting of DJs Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, is one of the biggest acts in the pop scene to come out in 2016.
