The 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the most talked about events in the first half of the year. In 2012, the festival provided some visual trickery to make the late rapper Tupac Shakur appear on stage. This year the organizers have turned to legendary rock act Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blur to infuse some momentum into the event.

Traditionally the lineup at the event has featured a wide variety of musicians. Those that are starting out, others that have been on the fringes for a while, as well as veterans making a comeback.
The Stone Roses will also be performing live this year along with other big names such as Lou Reed the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Jurassic 5 and Grinderman, among others. All these artists will feature on April 12, 2013 and April 19, 2013. Sunday April 13, 2013 and April 20, 2013 will see the likes of Phoenix, New Order, Grizzly Bear, Knife Party, Moby, Benny Benassi and many more take the stage.
Finally on Sunday April 14, 2013 and April 21, 2013 the Red Hot Chili Peppers will take the stage along with Social Distortion, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Wu-Tang Clan and a host of other talented acts.
The event will be held at the Empire Polo Grounds this year, which is the same location that it was held at in 1999.
