US-based Cumulus Media Inc. has launched a new entertainment brand which is known as NASH. The new brand is based on the country music lifestyle and has brought country music to New York airwaves for the first time in 17 years.

Recent reports have said that the new NASH platform will have radio stations, a website, a monthly magazine, television programming and concerts. Its new flagship NASH radio station in New York City on 94.7 FM was launched on January 21, 2013. Lew Dickey, the Cumulus CEO has said, “Country is more than just music — it’s a lifestyle that is rich with content and marketing opportunities”.

Dickey added that Cumulus is committed to serve the significant lifestyle segment which stretches from coast to coast by creating a full range of content on radio, online, print as well as on TV. The NASH magazine will be published by Modern Luxury and will launched during the second half of 2013. This will also include social media content along with exclusive concert events.

Cumulus is considered to be of the largest radio broadcasters in the country, which has around 525 stations in 110 markets. In Nashvile, Cumulus operates 7 stations including The Zone 104.5, Super Talk 99.7, 103.3 WKDF  and others.
