Nu metal band, Deftones just announced that they will be releasing a new album this year! The name of the album is set to be titled: “Gore”.
For months now, the band has been teasing fans through their official social media pages and blog about an upcoming album, even posting misleading images to the supposed cover of the album.
However, now in an official statement, the California group have finally come clean on their plans and even released a teaser track called “Prayers/Triangles” that they have released through Apple Music Beats 1, the radio station powered by Apple.
This album has been a long while in the making, the last one Koi No Yokan having been released in 2011. The veteran nu metal band have produced, in total, seven studio albums. This will be their 8th official release.
The release date for Gore has been set to April 8, 2016.
In addition to releasing the album, Deftones also plans on going on tour to support the new album.

The band says that there are going to be track by track releases as the months go by. Fans and supporters from around the world are excited that the Diamond Eyes hit makers are still active. The band has won a Grammy award in the past for the Best Metal Performance. Members consist of Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham, Chino Moreno, Frank Delgado and Sergio Vega. Past members include Chi Cheng, who passed away suddenly in 2013, 4 years after meeting with a severe automobile accident.
