Young American pop singer and actress Demi Lovato is currently focusing on her music career, as she is busy promoting her fourth studio album ‘Demi’, which was released on May 14, 2013. The star’s album debuted at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 110,000 copies in its first week, which became her best-selling debut week so far. After the first single ‘Heart Attack’, Lovato is ready to release her second single, patriotic ‘Made In The USA’, on July 16, 2013.
As the United States celebrate Independence Day on July 4, 2013, the catchy and upbeat song is perfect to keep up with the patriotic mood her fans might be in. Songwriter Jason Evigan, who worked with the ‘Give Your Heart A Break’ singer, revealed that the song was originally written for R&B singer Blair Perkins two years ago, but it eventually ended up on the star’s latest album. As Evigan explained, ‘Made In The USA’ was inspired by American romantic love stories which stand the test of time and are unbreakable through years.
The song was tweaked a little bit to better suit Lovato’s sound and some guitars were also added into the mix. Evigan says that the former Disney star loved the song as soon as she heard it and already had an idea for the video in her head. Lovato expressed her talent in another way, as she ended up co-directing the video for ‘Made In The USA’, which will premiere by the end of July 2013.
