Raise your hand if you’re just about done with celebrity beefs. It’s childish, it’s egotistic, it’s lame – but let’s be real, we all enjoy them smacking each other verbally in public like kids in a sandbox at kindergarten. Why they do it? Don’t ask me, because in the end, they are all super talented, working hard and bringing their best to their fans.
Anyway, the latest in the ongoing saga of celeb beefs, we have none other than Drake sprinkling a heavy dose of salt on Kanye West. The Hotline Bling rapper recently collaborated with the Life Of Pablo star, but as usual, Kanye later went on a rant that has left a bitter taste in the mouth of Drake. So much so that the reluctant star gave an interview on a radio show where he openly spoke about his personal opinion on Kim Kardashian’s husband.
Drake made an appearance on the OVO Sound Radio Show last week, and did not mince words.
“I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time.”
The famous rappers did a collaboration with DJ Khaled called For Free, and Kanye famously stopped his show back in November to diss the track. “…in the same breath…I went from being…like working on a project with him, to him sorta publicly sh*tting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much.”
“I don’t really even understand the point you’re trying to make but whatever it is that you’re going through, I accept it, I don’t respect it at all. You know, because I feel like me and Khaled are just good people. I’m not sure why we’re the target of your choice that you made that night. And yeah, I accept what you’re going through, I just go and continue working on my own thing.”
“You know, the more and more this progresses, the more and more I feel like keeping to myself, because it’s just so unpredictable. You never know which way people are going to go.”
The real reason Kanye may be upset with Drake is because the latter didn’t add him to his hit album, Views. But Drake has his own take on it. “Streaming is the new record business, so yeah, I guess you could call it digital politics. That’s kinda a good name for a song. I might have to do that when I get upstairs.” The real issue was that both Kanye and Jay Z were left off the final cut of the album for the track Pop Style, which Drake said was due to miscommunications. But West later blamed it on “some Tidal-Apple bullshit”.
