Canadian singer and artist, Drake is almost done with his Club Paradise tour. But it seems like the singer is saving the best performance for his home town of Toronto. The rapper is also all set to host his third annual OVO festival on August 5, 2012 at Molson Amphitheatre.
Drake on June 3, tweeted the line up of performers, Atlanta rhyme spitter 2 Chainz, fellow Canadian singer The Weeknd and New York rapper A$AP. The tickets for the OVO Fest will go on sale on June 9 through Live Nation.
Drake said, “Bringing together the 3rd Annual OVO Fest is such a milestone for me”. The rapper also said that “A lot has happened over the last three years — a journey that I’m so grateful for — but it’s always coming home and performing for my hometown that means the most. This year, we’re going to bring it just like we do every year-with high energy and music at its best.”
With the presence of the rapper at the festival, the OVO has become a must see summer event in Canada. The last year’s event featured performances from Rick Ross and The Weeknd. Drake had also treated his fans with a few tricks with a surprise guest appearances from Lil Wayne and J Cole.
