British singer and song writer Ed Sheeran, has announced the release date of his sophomore album. The upcoming album is a follow up to his smash debut ‘+’ and will be out for the fans on February 17, 2014.
The date might seem a bit far away, but the singer explained that he needs some time to complete the record. Sheeran, in an interview said, “My second album has taken full shape recently”. While talking about collaborations, the singer said that he does not know yet if he will be working with other musicians.
Sheeran added that he has a name for the album as well, but cannot reveal anything right now. The reason for the singer’s reluctance to reveal information could be that the album deal is not yet finalized. However, Sheeran has confirmed the name of one song ‘Photograph’, which he has termed as the big one for the upcoming album.
Sheeran recently moved to Nashville to complete the record and said, “Nashville is wicked. It’s like a proper music community, but it’s also quintessentially American.” This does not mean that the fans of the singer might get bored in the remaining 11 months. Sheeran’s fans can attend his live concerts during this time, where it is possible that he might reveal some snippets of the newer songs.
