English singer and composer Sir Elton John has announced the UK dates for the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour. John started off the huge three year good-bye tour in the US in September 2018 and will continue to play across the world till 2021 and has planned more than 300 shows. The Rocket Man has said that the shows will be emotional and ‘incredibly special’. Two of the UK dates have already been confirmed for 2019 and there will be more again in November 2020, beginning at O2 Arena in London.
The Don’t Let The Sun Go Down on Me singer will be playing arena shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Leeds in 2020. Sir Elton John said, “The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the last 50 years, but these UK shows will be incredibly special”. The Farewell tour was announced earlier in 2018 while saying that he wanted to go out with a bang before spending more time with his family.
The singer at that time had said that his priorities have changed as he and his husband David Furnish took care of their sons Elijah and Zachary. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road will be travelling to five continents, Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Australia and by the end of this week, more than 500,000 fans will already have seen him perform on the tour so far.
