At the BET Hip Hop awards 2017, rapper Eminem did the unexpected: he rapped a song taking a dig at the US President Donald Trump. He performed the cypher verse also known as freestyle rap that he performed last year too at ‘Campaign Speech’ where he slammed Trump and other such popular figures.
Trump’s presidency so far and even seemingly in the future looks at a slew of controversies, the latest being the president’s take on military action against North Korea.
He began with the lyrics, “Wait, how was I gonna start this off?” continuing into “I forgot. Oh, yeah / That’s an awfully hot coffee pot / Should I drop it on Donald Trump? Probably not / But that’s all I got ’til I come up with a solid plot / Got a plan and now I gotta hatch it / Like a damn Apache with a tomahawk…”
From Trump’s stringent immigration laws to his stance on racism and his love for golf and his criticisim of players who peacefully protest police attacks against blacks, the rapper wisely put it all in his song and voila! There was a massive response to Eminem’s criticism of Trump administration.
Twitteratis appreciated the rapper even calling him Rap God. The video has raked in countless views on YouTube and several celebrities too gave their reaction on “The Storm”.

The four and a half minute freestyle rap video titled “The Storm” ended with the following note calling out the entire country on people’s stance on the prez whom Eminem lambasted as the “racist grandpa”: “The rest of America stand up / We love our military, and we love our country / But we f****** hate Trump.”
Here’s the video that has sparked a crzy social media reaction:
