English indie rock band Florence and the Machine is now on the way to claim the first UK number one with the single ‘Spectrum’. The band which is fronted by Florence Welch has managed to top the UK midweek chart with a Calvin Harris remix of their single ‘Spectrum’.
Meanwhile Adam Levine band, Maroon 5 came down to number two with ‘Payphone’ while will.i.am is at three with ‘This is Love’. Chris Brown also came down to number fur with his ‘Dont Wake Me Up and Stooshe remained at five with ‘Black Heart’.
‘Pound The Alarm’ of Nicki Minaj is at number ten while Adam Lambert is at the Top 10 at 13 with the track ‘Never Close Our Eyes’. Florence recently pulled pulled out of this weekend’s Benicassim Festival.
Welch stated that a vocal cord injury has left her unable to sing. The singer also took her Twitter account and her official website to apologise her fans for missing out the show. Florence wrote, “I’m so sorry to all the fans, I was desperate to still perform, but was told without question not to, so as not to do permanent damage.” The news was also confirmed by the organisers saying that Miss Welch will not be able to perform due to sudden illness and that they are unable to finf a replacement.
