Lynrd.com: The 23-year-old British singer Adele ended up grabbing six awards at the 2012 Grammy Award ceremony in Los Angeles on February 12, 2012. The singer thanked her mother, who brought her up single-handedly.
The ‘Rolling in the Deep’ singer stood out at the biggest musical night the year for the emotional songs which took her to the number one spot in the British as well as the American album charts. The ceremony was even special for the Adele as she was returning on stage after recovering from throat surgery that she went through last year.
Adele won in all the six categories in which she was nominated including the Song of the Year for ‘Rolling In The Deep’, which she performed to a standing ovation. The British songstress even claimed that Best Pop Solo performance for Someone Like You, Best Pop Vocal album of the year for ‘21’ and Best Short form Music video for ‘Rolling In the Deep’.
The singer won two Grammys in the year 2009 and is already matched to the popular names in the industry like Beyonce, for the most Grammy wins in a night by a female artist. Adele’s ‘21’ tops the charts in ten countries and left behind Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black.
