Recent reports claim that hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is signing a deal worth $20 million with Samsung Mobile. No stranger to multimillion deals with other famous brands, Jay-Z is reportedly teaming up with Samsung Mobile in order to provide support for his music, as well as to boost profiles of the acts he looks after.
Earlier in 2013, the ‘Empire State of Mind’ rapper’s label Roc Nation signed a deal with Universal Music Group and Live Nation, for a reported $150 million. An insider familiar with the superstar’s latest collaboration with Samsung claims that the deal will be signed in the next few weeks and it is one of the biggest partnerships so far. It is being speculated that Jay-Z will most likely develop a new music-streaming service with Samsung for promotion purposes, however, no additional details are known at this point.
The ‘Open Letter’ rapper has been pretty busy in the last few weeks, with his latest appearance being at the Chime for Change event in London on Saturday, June 1, 2013. The star, along with his wife Beyonce, performed at a fundraising concert promoting female empowerment. The duo performed their biggest hit ‘Crazy In Love’ together, in front of over 50,000 people.
Amid recent rumors they are expecting another baby, Beyonce performed at the event in a skin-tight leather outfit, as well as posted a photo of herself drinking red wine, finally confirming, in a way, that rumors are completely false.
