American hip-hop superstar Jay-Z has announced a UK and Ireland tour, scheduled for October 2013. The rapper will play several shows, including Manchester, Dublin, London and Birmingham in support of his latest and highly-publicized album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’, which was released on July 4, 2013.
The ‘Tom Ford’ rapper will play a number of concerts, scheduled to begin on October 3, 2013 at Manchester Arena, then on to Dublin O2 Arena on October 6, 2013, followed by Birmingham NIA Arena on October 8, 2013 and will finish with 3 shows at London O2 Arena from October 10 to October 12, 2013.
Jay-Z already performed in the UK, as he and Justin Timberlake brought their Legends Of The Summer show to London’s Wireless festival for the first time ever. Pop superstar headlined the three-day-long party at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Friday, July 12, 2013, while the ‘Forever Young’ rapper took to the stage on Saturday, July 13, 2013. The joint concert on Sunday, July 14, 2013 saw Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake performing their biggest hits, along with collaborating on new and old tracks during a set that lasted for 2 hours and 40 minutes. They performed over 40 songs in total and even Rihanna made a surprise appearance, joining Jay-Z on stage for ‘Run This Town’.
Tickets for Jay-Z’s concerts in the UK and Ireland will go on sale on Friday, July 19, 2013. Tickets for London shows will be priced at £40, £55 and £70, while other shows will be priced at £37.50, £50 and £65 (plus fees).
