Even though summer is in full swing, it does not mean that Christmas plans should not be made and American singer and songwriter Jewel proves this point. The pop/country star just announced that she is returning to Christmas canon and is set to release her second holiday album ‘Let It Snow’, the follow-up to 1999’s platinum release ‘Joy: A Holiday Collection’, in December 2013.

The ‘Who Will Save Your Soul’ singer’s 12-track set will include renditions of Christmas favorites, including ‘Sleigh Ride’, ‘Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!’, ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Silver Bells’, but it will also incorporate two new Jewel compositions, ‘It’s Christmastime’ and ‘Blue Crystal Glow’, a track which the star co-wrote with Joe Mardin, son of the late producer Arif Mardin, who worked with Jewel on ‘Joy: A Holiday Collection’.

Jewel said, “I really had an amazing time doing this one. The great thing about Christmas music is I can cover a lot of territory, from country to jazz style vocals to classical music, arias. The ‘You Were Meant For Me’ singer co-produced the upcoming album with Mardin, Robbie Kondor and Steve Skinner, arrangers who also worked on the previous holiday album with her.
