Lynrd: American singer and musician, John Mayer, recently announced that he had undergone a surgery to heal his vocal chords on 20th October, 2011 The singer underwent the surgery to remove the granuloma resting above his vocal chord.
Mayer announced his surgery on his personal Tumblr site. John said that he would be taking rest for at least the next month. In a message to his fans, the singer said that he should be frustrated, but he just cannot stop thinking about beautiful things.
The singer added that he had never thought that he would be wishing he could do what he loves again. John continued saying that he stays in at the night and picks the guitar parts off of records and dreams of playing it on the big stage.
Mayer then said that the only difference between now and when he was 18 years old was that now he has this beautiful and meaningful record waiting for him when he can sing it. Mayer, while talking about his surgery, had said that they had given plenty of time to see if surgery could be avoided, but there was no other option and the surgery had to be done. John will be off for a month or even more to recover.
