Popular American pop-rock band Jonas Brothers confirmed that they are finally finished with their upcoming album and are set to release it in the fall 2013. The yet-to-be-titled record will mark the band’s comeback to the music scene and is the follow-up to the 2009’s release ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times’.
Jonas Brothers already gave their fans a taste of the new music, as they released their first single, track titled ‘Pom Poms’ back in April 2013. The band admitted that there have been many twists and turns before the highly-anticipated record was completed and some of those even came from unexpected influences.
In the past, band used influences that were inspiring to them, such as The Beatles and The Jackson 5, but this time, the trio focused on new music and things that were happening to them right now. The oldest Jonas, Kevin says, “We really listen to a lot of Frank Ocean, Miguel, Calvin Harris, artists that were doing something unique in the moment we were writing this album. It really adapted to the way we were thinking and where we were at.”
Kevin Jonas also revealed that the band wrote between 50 and 60 songs for the new record and their current single, ‘The First Time’, was a turning point for the brothers, as the focus of the album was changed with that song and it triggered some forward process.
