In some great news for the Kanye West fans, the rapper has finally revealed the release date of his G.O.O.D Music Compilation ‘Cruel Summer’. West has announced August 7 as the release date of through Pusha T during an interview with Hot 97 personality Funkmaster Flex.

The album and West’s short film share the same title which was premiered by the rapper at the Cannes Film Festival last month. Reports say that the Labelmates Cyhi da Prynce, Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Pusha T and Teyana Taylor will also be appearing on the collection which includes guest appearances by Frank Ocean, Marsha Ambrosius and others.

So far the stylish black and white video of the group for ‘Mercy’ which features 2 Chainz has garnered 2 million views in YouTube. The G.O.O.D Music Family is also set to perform at the 2012 BET Awards on July 1, 2012.

Even Big Sean and 2 Chainz will be performing as solo artists at the event. Kanye has earned seven nominations including two mentions as part of the Throne with Jay Z in the category of Video of The Year. Apart from the BET Awards West will also be headlining in two exclusive concerts at the Revel Resort in Atlantic City NJ on July 6 and 7.
