Lynrd: American singer Kelly Rowland recently spoke about her upcoming album ‘Here I am’, which is soon going to be out on 26th July 2011. The latest album will have a bit of her R&B roots and will also personify the recent dance persona of the singer.
Rowland, in an interview earlier this year, had expressed that she wanted to have a little of everything in the album. The singer said that she did not want to be identified by a single genre of music.
The former Destiny’s Child singer said that the record has come out amazing and cannot wait to share it with her fans. Talking about the nature of the record, the ‘Dilemma’ singer said that she was for a long time thinking over, whether it should be a dance number or an urban one.
Rowland then said that it was just about artistry and freedom. The sound is about being happy and living life to the fullest. At the end of the day it is all about music and the feeling of being a woman. The singer said that there are many sings in the record that people can relate to. Rowland concluded, the album was all about ‘It’s the year of the woman.
