Kenny Chesney all set to launch new studio album after a year long hibernation.
Country singing sensation Kenny Chesney has finally announced the launch of his 15th studio album “The Big Revival”, the album will go on sale in stores from September 23, 2014.
The album’s name is in keeping with the year-long sabbatical that Kenny had taken to divert all his concentration towards the making of this album.
The 46-year old country music star has co-produced this album with with old time friend and producer – Buddy Cannon. Grace Potter who Chesney had collaborated with for his hit ‘You and Tequila’ will also appear in this album. Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski are a few of the other special guests to look out for.
The Big Revival will also include Chesney’s already hit single ‘American Kids’ whose video was officially released on Chesney’s Facebook page on June 30. Fans were teased all week long with preview snippets from the video.
The song bears Kenny’s quintessential country feel with a youthful zest to it. In the video, the singer is on a colorful bus singing and dancing with teenagers, nostalgia revived!
“Growing up in little pink houses, making out on living room couches, blowin’ that smoke on Saturday night — a little messed up but we’re all, all right,” – lyrics like these give the song a completely earthy country feel.
Talking about the album Kenny said, “The whole point of taking the time to get to a really creative place was to have the room to look at not what we’d done, but where we wanted to go, after all this time, if I can’t push myself and give the fans something that inspires them, that gets them pumped up, there’s no reason to just make a record to make a record.”
