Pop star Kesha is focusing on her well-being in 2014. One month after the ‘We R Who We R’ singer checked into a rehab center in order to deal with an eating disorder, she has confirmed that she will be postponing the previously scheduled US tour dates in March 2014 and April 2014 to resume treatment.
Kesha addressed the issue in a press statement, which read, “I was so looking forward to performing at these dates but I need to follow my Doctor’s advice and get my health back on track. All of your support during this time has been so amazing. I couldn’t have done this without you all. I look forward to coming back stronger than ever on the next tour.”
The ‘Crazy Kids’ singer entered a rehab center on January 3, 2014 and has been posting irregular updates on her Twitter account during her stay. Pebe Sebert, Kesha’s mother stated that Lukasz Dr. Luke Gottwald – the singer’s longtime producer – was one of the people responsible for her daughter’s disorder. On the other hand, Gottwald strongly denied these allegations.
Kesha’s official website features only two tour dates – a show on March 15, 2014 in Hammond, Indiana and a show on April 13, 2014 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Both performances will be postponed and fans will be able to inquire about refunds at their local box offices.
