Kings of Leon set to headline Isle of Wight Festival 2014

The ‘Use Somebody’ musicians’ 6th studio record ‘Mechanical Bull’ debuted at No. 1 in the UK charts and the band is now scheduled to take the top slot on the festival’s legendary Main Stage on June 15, 2014. Besides Kings of Leon, the upcoming festival will feature a number of new and established acts, such as Clean Bandit, The Specials, Travis, John Newman, The Horrors, Deap Vally, Nina Nesbitt, Gorgon City and The Strypes.

When asked about their appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival, Travis said, “We’re made up that we are making a trip back to the Isle of Wight, last time was a top gig. There’s a lot of rock and roll history gone down on that little island and it’s great to be a part of it again.”

Some of the most important performances during the festival’s three days include Biffy Clyro – who will take the stage on Friday, June 13, 2014, Red Hot Chili Peppers – who will perform on Saturday, June 14, 2014 and of course, Kings of Leon, the festival’s headliners on Sunday, June 15, 2014.
