Australian singer Kylie Minogue was on November 27, 2011 inducted in the ARIA Hall of Fame at the Australian Awards Show. The Award show honors the musicians just in the same way like the Grammys.
Minogue at the award show was introduced by the music journalist and record producer Molly Mendrum, when he described how he had come across the singer. After a long introduction, which had highlighted the achievements of the singing star that also included her battle with cancer, the name of the winner was announced.
Prime minister Julia Gillard after a presentation stepped towards the mic and officially inducted Minogue in to the ARIA Hall Of Fame. Later the singing star walked up on the stage and accepted the honor.
After taking the stage the 43 year old singer said that it was difficult to acknowledge almost 25 years in just a few minutes. Minogue continued that while taking a look back at her career, words like amazement, humility, gratitude, wonder and pride come to mind. Kylie then entertained the crowd at the Allphones Arena in Sydney Olympic Park. The singer during her career, has won 16 ARIA awards which also include Outstanding Achievement Award in the year 2002. Last year her album ‘Aphrodite’ was nominated for the Best Pop Release.
