Lady Gaga has proven time and time again, that she is the quintessential entertainer of this generation. After her performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show 2017, she really set the bar really high for forthcoming live shows. And she proved once again that she’s the reigning queen of putting on a good show for her audience. Being only the second woman to headline Coachella 2017, she took the stage in typical Gaga fashion. She also debuted her new single, The Cure that also simultaneously went live for downloading on multiple streaming portals.
As part of her set for Coachella 2017, she performed different versions of some of her biggest hits over the years, plus material from her latest album, Joanne. Some of the memorable tracks included Telephone, Alejandro, Edge Of Glory, Yoü And I and Million Reasons. You shouldn’t expect it to be as epic as the Super Bowl, since this is a stage in the middle of a Californian desert with limited viewers. However, fans and the star were exchanging mass love and the vibes were pretty good.
As part of her audience, a number of celebs came to watch Lady Gaga – BFFs Katy Perry and Rihanna, along with Wiz Khalifa.
Lady Gaga stepped in as the headliner for Coachella 2017 after Beyoncé dropped out in February after the announcement of her pregnancy with twins. Of course, Bey will be taking the stage next year. There was speculation as to who could fill in the big shoes of Beyoncé, and Mother Monster was the only one who fit that bill. This is only the second time a woman has headlined the music and culture festival – the first one being Björk.
Other headliners for Coachella 2017 include Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead, with a number of famous international acts performing there as well. The festival will extend into the upcoming weekend as well. If you haven’t got your tickets yet, you can even stream it online live through YouTube.
