Pop superstar Lady Gaga is not only back on the music scene, but is also repeating her massive success from the past. The ‘Alejandro’ singer has managed to surpass hip-hop icon Eminem and reach the No. 1 spot in the UK Official Albums Chart. Gaga’s latest album ‘Artpop’ pushed Eminem’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ into No. 2 and the ‘Bad Romance’ singer has achieved her third consecutive number one album in the UK.
However, despite this tremendous success, Gaga has not been able to experience the 1.1 million first-week sales of her previous album, ‘Born This Way’ and the ‘Applause’ singer’s latest release is expected to sell around 250,000 copies in its first week in the US.
Meanwhile, Celine Dion’s latest album in English, titled ‘Loved Me Back To Life’ came in at No. 3 this week, Little Mix’s album ‘Salute’ had its debut at No. 4 and The Killers’ collection of hits, titled ‘Direct Hits’ came in at No. 6. Additionally, music legends Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard entered the top ten for the first time since 1977 and Presley managed to reach No. 5 with ‘The Nation’s Favourite Elvis Songs’, while Richard claimed the No. 7 spot with ‘The Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Songbook’.
