Lady Gaga fills the Beyoncé void as the headliner for Coachella 2017
In response to fans wondering who was able to fill the big shoes of Beyoncé after the Formation singer bowed out of her headlining gig at Coachella 2017, the answer should have been obvious. Who else can kill it on record, live shows, sports events and award ceremonies? None other than Mother Monster, Lady Gaga. The Million Reasons singer tweeted an image of the Coachella lineup poster, along with the caption: “Let’s party in the desert!”

This means that Gaga is literally taking over the spot and the spotlight from Beyoncé, who is currently heavily pregnant with twins. Bey was supposed to headline the Californian music and culture festival on both weekends, along with co-headliners – Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead. So Lady Gaga will be at Coachella 2017 on two Saturdays, April 15th and 22nd respectively.
Gaga’s comes just fives days after Beyoncé’s management, Parkwood Entertainment and the festival’s organizors, Goldenvoice had issued an official statement that the singer was bowing out, because her doctor has advised rest due to the impending birth of her twins. The due date isn’t known yet, and the singer made her first appearance since her Instagram announcement, at the Grammys 2017.

For those who are fans of Coachella, the coming two years are going to be fun. This year, you already have the confirmed Lady Gaga, who is bound to raise hell on stage after what she showed she was capable of at the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year. Then next year, Beyoncé promises to headline Coachella 2018. However, she has lost out on becoming the only woman to headline the festival after Björk did so earlier, in 2007.
