Lady Gaga has thanked her fans for their support in a letter posted on her blog, after undergoing a surgery to repair her inflamed hip joint on February 21, 2013, in LA. The 26-year-old singer was forced to cancel the remaining dates of her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour, after suffering a difficult injury that left her immobile last month.
Gaga tweeted to 34 million of her followers last week, that she has been experiencing chronic pain for the past month, but was hiding the injury from her staff. She apologized to fans, saying she was reluctant to cancel the tour dates and hoped it would heal soon. How soon though, remains to be seen, as there is no timetable set for Gaga’s return to the stage.
The ‘Alejandro’ and ‘Papparazzi’ singer has been ordered some ‘strict downtime to recover’, as reported by her promoter, Live Nation. They canceled more than 20 dates on her scheduled 2-year tour, which began in April 2012 and covers all 6 continents.
Mother Monster is not forgetting her Little Monsters, even at the hospital. The singer praised her fans for their love and strength, giving them an insight into her life by tweeting a photo of her wheelchair, which she has named Emma.
