It has been a long time when Nicki Minaj’s Summer Jam 2012 was abruptly cancelled, but then no one heard from Lil Wayne why he pulled out his appearance from the show. Minaj had then even felt insulted by Radio personality Peter Rosenburg who called her chart topping song ‘Starships’ a wack song while introducing another artist onstage.
And this was the reason Wayne pulled out from the headlining performance of Minaj. The following day Minaj came out on Funkmaster Flex’s radio show to vent out her anger.
Wayne said, “As soon as she called me and told me she felt disrespected, I just declined everything,” and continued, “I pulled her from the show because … no person that works with me will be disrespected in my presence as long as I’m on this planet.” While talking about any bad terms between him and the radio station he said there was nothing at all.
The singer said that it was just an executive move, no salt and no hard feelings. Wayne also added that a woman should be respected at all times due to which he took the decision. Wayne is appreciated for his stand for an artist but its surprising that he took the stand due to Rosenburg’s remarks.
