Is there ever a day when a star doesn’t get flack for bringing their A-game? The Internet is a mean place for people to come spew their venom on anyone and everyone trying to do their thing. And the latest victim is none other than Lorde.
The 20-year-old appeared on popular American comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live (SNL) and performed her single from her sophomore album, Green Light. The song itself talks about heartbreak of a young woman still in love with a man who seems to have moved on. Though starting on a shaky note for a few bars, she then got into the spirit of the spirit of the song, so much so that she began her well-known freestyle dance moves.
Take a look at Lorde’s live performance of Green Light on Saturday Night Live –
A little after minute 3, she completely breaks out into a dance that had many fans commenting that she appeared “possessed”. Lorde’s sophomore album, Melodrama was released earlier this month, and already her music is making waves on radio stations and on the charts. The official video for Green Light was released as well, and sees the New Zealand artist taking a more mature look at life and relationships, putting her heart and soul into every lyric, every video and every performance that she has. Her debut album, at just age 17, called Pure Heroine spawned the hit Royals that made her a world famous music artist and got her into the Swift Squad.
