Metal band Machine Head will release new album ‘Bloodstone & Diamonds’ in November 2014.
American metal band Machine Head will release their 8th full-length album ‘Bloodstone & Diamonds’ on November 7, 2014 under independent record label Nuclear Blast.
As per the band’s website, the album comprises 10 songs, an interlude and an instrumental with an audio collage with snippets from Dr Bruce Lipton and Steve Bhaerman’s audiobook Spontaneous Evolution. Produced by Rob Flynn and Juan Urteaga, the album has been mixed by British record producer Colin Richardson who has mixed albums for bands like Cradle of Filth, Sepultra, Slipknot, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse and many others.
Additional tracking, editing, and mixing was done with heavy metal legend Andy Sneap and Steve Lagudi.
The name of the album is extracted from a lyric from the opening track Now We Die. Other tracks featured are Killers & Kings, Sail Into The Black, Damage Inside, Take Me Through The Fire and Eyes Of The Dead.
The album includes an extensive 28 page CD booklet and a 48 page hardcover leather bound Media book as a special edition. According to the band, the theme for both is that of an old Alchemy book from the 1800s, with weathered, sepia-toned pages, and masonic woodcarvings throughout.
Machine Head will launch a North American headline tour this fall with Children Of Bodom, Epica, and Battlecross. The tour will kick off on October 4, 2014 in Denver, Colorado at the Summit Music Hall and will conclude on November 1, 2014 in Hollywood, California at the Palladium.
