Lynrd.com: American singer Madonna recently changed the name of the track ‘Girl Gone Wild’ which was released earlier than scheduled. The track was originally titled as ‘Girls Gone Wild’, but was changed after the singer received a cease and desist letter last month before her Super Bowl halftime show to pull off the track from the show.

Now it seems like the ‘Material Girl’ singer has just made some adjustments with the title so as to avoid conflict. But this has not stopped Joe Francis from raising questions against it.

A letter from Francis’s lawyer David Houston was released to the press last month. The letter mentioned that Francis and ‘Girls Gone Wild’ have worked tirelessly for more than two decades to build his brand and also protect his trademark ‘Girls Gone Wild’.

The letter has also mentioned that the Material Girl has ripped Franci and the company. There are also claims that she has violated Federal and State trademark laws by making unauthorized use of Mr Francis’s trademark Girls Gone Wild in title as well as subject line of her various advertisements so as to lure the potential customers to purchase her musical efforts. Even after the change of the name, Francis does not seem to be satisfied and added that clearly her label was trying to avoid legal action.
