R&B superstar Mariah Carey is set to release a new album on July 23, 2013. After a four-year break and her last album ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’, released in 2009, former American Idol judge announced on Twitter on June 5, 2013 that she has a new album ready for her fans.
The ‘We Belong Together’ singer tweeted that ‘new era begins’ on July 23, 2013, though she did not reveal the title of her highly-anticipated, eleventh studio album. When it comes to the team behind the latest record, Carey has been working with some of her old producers, including Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox, as well as new forces, but well-known names in the music industry such as Hit-Boy and The-Dream.
Even though the ‘Honey’ singer made a long break, during which she gave birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe in 2011, it seems as if she has not left the music scene at all. Carey’s first single ‘#Beautiful’, which announces the new album, achieved huge success by reaching number one spot in over 30 countries.
The star has been very busy in the last few weeks, as her duties promoting the upcoming record had already begun. Most recently, she appeared at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert, alongside Miguel who is featured on her ‘#Beautiful’ single. One additional treat for all Carey fans is that the singer will be going on a world tour to further promote her album and concert dates should be announced soon.
