Looks like there just aren’t enough stars in Hollywood, are there? Maroon 5 lead singer, Adam Levine is going to be honored with a star in his name on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Voice coach will be given the 2,601st star on the famous sidewalk this month, ie, February 10. Part of the ceremony will include speeches by Levine, along with his fellow The Voice coach, country singer Blake Shelton and rock legend Sammy Hagar.
Walk of Fame Producer, Ana Martinez said in an official statement shortly after the announcement was made: “Adam Levine fans have been patiently waiting for this day. Fans from around the world have been constantly checking with us saying, ‘When? When?’ Now is the time, and we invite all of Adam’s fans to join us and enjoy Levine’s moves like Jagger and hear his voice.”
Adam Levine has been a coach on the hit reality music talent show, The Voice for the past twelve seasons, along with other music superstars like Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani, among others. As a musician who has been in the music industry for decades now, he is the frontman of Maroon 5 and is their primary songwriter as well. Though his contribution has been towards so many different genres, he will be listed under the category of Recording, since his fame stemmed from music with Maroon 5.
The dedication ceremony for Adam Levine’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame will begin at 11.30am local time (PST) on February 10 at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. Live streaming of the occasion will be on the official website of Hollywood Walk of Fame.
There hasn’t yet been any official statement from the star himself, though he will surely be excited to join the ranks of some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
