Metallica Gets Young At Heart On Jimmy Fallon With Kid Instruments

Metallica have been in the game for so long, so long that some of us weren’t even born when they first stormed the stage and hit the heavy metal scene back in the day. Though times have changed, wars have been fought, generations have been added to the world and the madness continues to ensue, the legends have kept up their game and time and time again proven that they are the gods of metal and are still calling the shots in the industry. And then they come out with this and totally pull at our heart-strings: Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo are regular guys, having fun and killing it in their professional and personal lives.

In order to promote their hot new album Hardwired……To Self-Destruct, the quartet met up on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and it was less than 5 minutes of total fun. They performed one of their most famous and grandeur hits, Enter Sandman, but this one had a twist. Instead of their blaring instruments, they did it in a totally new version – playing with kid instruments. Supported by jazz group, The Roots and the host himself, all wearing old school Metallica band t-shirts, the band (wearing The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon t-shirts) rocked on. Check out Trujillo’s face there in the second row in the thumbnail. Now, try watching the entire video without grinning. Metallica are simply the best.

Metallica will be releasing their 10th studio album Hardwired……To Self-Destruct on November 18, 2016. After 8 years of making us wait, fans are already ready to mosh. As we let you know earlier, they will be releasing videos for each of their singles off the album. They have already released videos to millions of views for Hardwired, Moth Into Flame, Atlas, Rise!, ManUNkind, Confusion and Dream No More. It looks like they are going to go at it just before the official release of the album.
