Some good news for Metallica fans, the group has set the release of their latest album Hardwired to Self Destruct on November 18. The album is produced by Greg Fidelman and will be released through Metallica’s own label, Blackened Recordings; a series of shows in London will follow the album launch.
A third track from the album, ‘Atlas, Rise!’ was released on Halloween. Check out the making-of-the-album video for the song edited by Clark Eddy –
On Thursday November 17th, Metallica will be at the HMV store on Oxford Street for a meet and greet session with the fans. There will be an autograph signing session for the fans on what is Metallica’s first autograph signing event in the UK. Metallica fans who pre-order their new album from hmv.com will stand a chance to win prizes in a draw, with 200 slots available.
The following evening, Friday November 18th Metallica will be performing at the House of Vans for an exclusive and intimate gig. All fans can register at the House of Vans main website for a chance to win tickets and the winners will be requested to make a £20 donation for The Railway Children Charity.
The show is definitely one to look forward to and judging by the one held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan; fans will be in for a treat. During that October 26th show, Metallica delivered an eighteen song set including some of their classic songs, material from hit album Master of Puppets, the self titled Black and the two leading tracks from their latest release namely hardwired and moth to flame.
Metallica rocked the “Master Of Puppets” classic, “Battery”, at Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 26, 2016 during the opening night of the band’s World Wired tour in support of their tenth album, “Hardwired…To Self Destruct.” Watch it right here!
Hardwired to Self Destruct follows the 2008 multi platinum selling album titled Death Magnetic also produced by Greg Fidelman. In an interview with BBC back in September, frontman James Hetfield praised this album with drummer Lars Ulrich claiming that this is Metallica at their leanest.
Speaking to the BBC in September, frontman James Hetfield said: “As far as our look and our health, we’re doing our best. We got grey hair but we’ve earned this stuff.”
