Michael Jackson’s posthumous duet with pop superstar Justin Timberlake has entered the charts and the music video for ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ had its premiere on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. The King of Pop’s latest video is a tribute of his lasting legacy on future generations.
Jackson’s new single is the first off of ‘Xscape’ and it features archival footage of his numerous music videos, such as ‘Black or White’, ‘Beat It’, ‘You Rock My World’, ‘Bad’ and many others. In addition to that, there is a shot of the iconic singer as a child, while he was part of the Jackson 5.
The footage of the late superstar is interspersed among frames of the ‘Mirrors’ singer and a group of dancers who are singing and trying out the most memorable moves. The tone of ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ video is much more lighthearted when compared to ‘Hollywood Tonight’, the single off of the 2010 posthumous album.
It can be noted that Timberlake – also known for his dancing skills – never tries out the late singer’s steps in the video, which is a respectful decision that emphasizes the tribute approach to this video and even the entire record. ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ was written in 1983 and Johnny Mathis released a version in 1984.
