After a decade the MTV Europe Music Awards will be returning to Frankfurt in Germany. The music channel announced that the MTV Europe Music Awards will be held at Frankfurt on November 11, 2012.
The Music Awards is actually a celebration of the music from around the globe but will be focusing on the top US artists, who are popular internationally and also are popular among the fans who vote for the winners. The show will be returning to the German city, after it was hosted for the last time in the year 2001. The show will be broadcasted live from Festhalle in Frankfurt. Last year the show was hosted in Belfast in Northern Ireland.
Bob Bakish, the president and CEO of Viacom International Media Networks described the event as one of the biggest nights in music on the planet. Bakish had also promised that the show will showcase talent from the US to Europe to Asia to everywhere in between.
The 19th annual 2012 MTV EMA will be available for the audience of more than 1.2 billion people through MTV’s global network if more than 60 channels that reach more than 640 million households around the globe. Bruce Gilmer and Richard Godfrey are the executive producers of the show.
