British rock band Muse is scheduled to perform in London on June 2, 2013, after the world premiere of “World War Z”, in front of 15,000 fans. The latest zombie-themed movie, starring Brad Pitt, features Muse’s music.
It will be an event to remember, as this is the first time that a movie premiere and a full-scale concert are being organized for promotion purposes. The movie will be screened in London’s Leicester Square and is set to be followed by a Muse performance at Horse Guards Parade Ground, St. James’s Park. Tickets for this event will be available starting May 28, 2013.
“World War Z” features about 14 minutes of Muse’s music, with “Isolated System” song being the dominant one throughout the movie. Trailers on all platforms will also feature music by Muse, but the only soundtrack release will be for Marc Beltrami’s score.
Paramount, production studio behind the movie, will film the concert and make the footage available soon. Randy Spendlove, Paramount Pictures’ President of Motion Picture Music reportedly expects to see late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel in London, reporting on the event.
The movie features music from the Muse’s latest album, “The 2nd Law” and is set to open in theaters on June 21, 2013. Cast, other than Brad Pitt, include Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale.
