Lynrd: American band Owl City has recently released a new track from their upcoming album ‘All Things Bright and Beautiful’. The track, ‘Deer in the Headlights’ is actually the feeling that one might have, while dealing with the opposite sex.
Adam Young in the track has come out of his usual foot tapping touch that he used to give to his tracks. The new touch to the track has given it a fresh approach towards the listeners.
The best things about the track are the lyrics, which make fun of the multi-instrumentalist, when he fails in terms of dating women. The lyrics go like, ‘Met a girl in the parking lot. And all I did was say hello. Her pepper spray made it rather hard for me to walk her home. But I guess that’s the way it is.’
The chorus in the track sounds more like rock. Later the electric guitars enter, as Adam sings, ‘Tell me again was it love at first sight. When I walked by and you caught my eye. Didn’t you known love could shine this bright. Well, smile because you’re the deer in the headlights.’ The latest single of the Owl City seems to be the best from the band till now.
