American singer and song writer R Kelly was forced to cancel his big time appearances on New York TV shows this week, which include ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ and ‘Today’. The singer had to return to Chicago to seek medical treatment.
Report say that Kelly is suffering from complications related to last year’s surgery to remedy a vocal cord abscess. The popular R&B singer known for his hit ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ was in Big Apple o promote his memoir ‘Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me’ along with his just released album ‘Write Me Back’.
But it is still not clear if Kelly will reschedule his TV appearances. It is also not clear how long the singer has to refrain from performing. The singer was also booked on a pair of major promotional outlets for his book and album.
This means that the Kelly was in some serious pain due to which he was forced to cancel his appearances. In March 2011, R Kelly was named as the most successful R & B artist of the past 25 years in Billboard. The singer has also released ten studio albums and has sold 35 million albums in the US along with 15 million singles.
